Francisco A. Grimaldi, AIA
Francisco is a licensed architect with over 25 years of practice delivering technically complex projects across healthcare, residential, civic, justice, and institutional markets. As founder and Principal of FG Architecture Studio LLC, he leads an independent practice grounded in the belief that architecture should serve communities with intention and craft — with direct involvement at every phase, from the first sketch through construction administration.
Francisco brings particular depth to his work, and has built lasting relationships with clients, consultants, and contractors throughout New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania. Committed to advancing the profession, he serves as Adjunct Faculty at the Michael Graves College School of Public Architecture at Kean University, and has held leadership roles within the AIA, including President of AIA Newark and Suburban in 2023.
Francisco holds a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Building Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and is currently completing a Master of Science in Architecture at NJIT with a concentration in urbanism and sustainability. He is registered in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, and holds both NCARB and CDT certifications.
